Solar Irrigation Inverter

SOLAR IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Normally, three-phase traditional submersible or surface pumps, which are operated with grid electricity or generators, can now be operated directly from solar panels during the day in places where there is no electricity grid, thanks to today’s technology.

This system consists of solar panels, MPPT power conditioner-motor driver, solar panel mounting constructions, and, if necessary, a water tank.

Thanks to the MPPT power conditioner, the highest instantaneous power obtained from the solar panels during the day is transmitted to the motor driver. The driver changes the speed and/or torque of the pump shaft according to the transmitted instantaneous power and provides low flow rate water in the morning and evening hours and high flow rate water at noon. The water can be used immediately or stored in a suitable volume tank for irrigation done in the evening or at night.

The equipment and cost to be used in the system are determined by the technical project design to be made based on the following data:

  • Well depth/m (only for submersible pumps),
  • Desired daily water amount/ton,
  • Irrigation season (start and end months),
  • Installation location (name of village, town, and city).
